I worked at Nokia for just under a year, leading up to the their acquisition by Microsoft, as a Technical Accounts Tester.
I worked with carriers like T-Mobile and AT&T to make sure Nokia’s devices met all of their requirements and passed through their testing processes successfully. I helped external and internal testers run tests and reported my own issues. The majority of my work, however, was providing carrier PM's with accurate assessments of the issues discovered by others and negotiating their severity and priority.
These issues could range from voice quality, to GPS accuracy, to usability issues in a phone's pre-installed apps.
