About Me

I came to design from QA, and I think that played an important role in defining my perspective on experience. As a tester, I was intimately familiar with every part of our products, down to the tiniest detail. More than anyone in any other department I spent my time going between the design, engineering, and management offices, and it made it clear that user experience falls under every domain.

I love designing solutions to problems, but more than that I love the feeling that comes from solving the right problem. I like undoing my work. Anytime I can look at a sketch with four things and say, "Wait, why don't we just..." and end up with two (or one!), I'm happy.

While I think anything can be interesting if you look at it from the right angle, I'm particularly interested in online communities and creating welcoming digital spaces. Right now, I'm focusing on how we can support our users and provide them with beautiful, streamlined experiences while still giving them room to make these products feel like their own.

Let's talk :)
